VERSCHNECKT
In the lyrical experimental film "Verschneckt", a young woman draws a line and radically decelerates her life.
She withdraws from civilisation and, over time, becomes one with nature.
It is the beginning of a metamorphosis. The results are open.
Actress and director Josephine Thiesen shot the film "Verschneckt" with cameraoperator Matthias Spehr at a waste incineration plant in Dierkow, Rostock.
The origins of the Tableau-like film emerged from daydreams and is directed as a homage to the music group Pinkfloyd.
"Verschneckt" is meant to remind people to take time for things and to experience them fully with every pore of the body.
Higher and higher.
Faster and faster.
Further and further.
