“Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita
mi ritrovai per una selva oscura
ché la diritta via era smarrita.”
Multimedia and interdisciplinary theater project as part of the "HMT - interdisciplinary" 2017 competition.
Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy" brings together five young artists in 2017. Together they question the ancient epic and themselves in the process. The descent into hell, the dwelling in limbo and the ascent to heaven - what does this tell us 700 years later? What are we afraid of? Who are the figures that let us breathe a sigh of relief and what limbo are we stuck in every day? Based on these questions, two actresses and three musicians, all with very different backgrounds, developed a very personal journey through the mythical spaces of the past, only to end up in a heaven that perhaps isn't a heaven at all.
Music, text, video and performance combine to create an interdisciplinary and wild stage journey through classical and modern times.
